Outside my window...it has been a cloudy morning in the valley-of-the-sun! But now the sun is poking through! Nooo!!!

I am thinking...that I need to starting reading the next chapter for a philosophy meeting.

I am thankful for...the joy of the Lord!

I am wearing...an elegant dark blue blouse and brown dress pants.

I am remembering...how the Lord has always been faithful to me.

I am going...shopping with my family in downtown Phx and then visiting my grandparents.

I am currently reading...The Scottish Chiefs by Jane Porter, Finally Alive by John Piper, and my friend's awesome novel.

I am hoping...the first week of the semester goes smoothly and that I am able to sign up for private voice/guitar instruction.

On my mind...Haiti, friends of mine who desperately need Christ, and how much I long to see the Lord victorious!!

Noticing that...my brother is really cranky when he cleans the kitchen! haha!

From the kitchen...my dad is taking his vitamins and my mom is eating breakfast.

Outside my window...another sunny day, except this time it's nice and chilly out!
I am thinking...about a Bible school that I was recently accepted by for a 10-week course next summer (in Windsor, CO). I am overwhelmed with so many emotions - excitement for being accepted, joy for being able to meet some of the other participants online and getting to know them, and yet discouraged because money has proven to be a problem and I realize how much I need to have faith that God will provide for this path in my life.
I am thankful for...this wonderful past weekend that I had spent with friends.
I am wearing...a flowy, long white skirt and a dress-like top filled with ornate, flower designs.
I am creating...nothing at the moment. I have a list of things I would like to create, but I haven't the time at the present.
I am going...to school today: Choir, voice rehearsal with piano accompanist, and Digital Audio Workstation class.
I am reading…Deuteronomy and Morning & Evening by Charles Spurgeon.
I am hoping...that the Lord's power will be made perfect in my weaknesses.
I am hearing...monks singing Latin chants.
One of my favorite things...simple days.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Many of my plans are school-related. It's not very exciting to report.

Outside my window... another sunny day. Temperatures are back up in the 90s. *pouts* Autumn, please come!
I am thinking...of so many things; the Lord’s direction in my life, my desire to be a missionary and to be part of a ministry that brings ethnic/acoustic Biblical music to those in need, and wanting so much to work on homemaking skills and yet conflicted by being at school full-time, which I also know I need to acquire skills in music/recording for my long-term goals. *big sigh* I have a big to-do list in my mind.
I am thankful for...sleep!!
I am wearing...a turquoise and brown blouse with a silky light brown skirt complete with frills on the edges.
I am creating... a b-day gift idea for my mom.
I am going...to fellowship with sisters this evening!
I am reading…Deuteronomy and poetry by Christina Rossetti. Usually I am reading 3 – 4 books at a time, but it’s difficult to keep up with that while in school.
I am hoping...to be productive this week in my musical studies.
I am hearing...a gorgeous instrumental track by Jocelyn Pook called Her Gentle Spirit.
One of my favorite things...being at home.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Having a theological debate on Saturday and a prayer meeting on Sunday.

Outside my window...it is finally a lovely day in Arizona! Currently 73 degrees. Yay!
I am thinking...that my praying needs to be more pressed and more earnest concerning a dear, lost friend. Lord, be victorious!
I am thankful...that the recording session I engineered this past weekend went so well. Thank the Lord for bearing me up daily!
I am wearing... a light green skirt with golden trim and a t-shirt with gold and brown designs.
I am creating... a 1200-word paper on “the state of the modern church." I've been procrastinating, though.
I am going...to school in an hour.
I am reading...Mimosa by Amy Carmichael and 1 John.
I am hoping...to make it to this next weekend in one piece and finish my essay.
I am hearing... my brother playing games and a beautiful song by My Brightest Diamond.
One of my favorite things...an evening of rest and reflection with my Bible and my Lord.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Fellowship with sisters tonight, hopefully a driving lesson with my dad during the week, and lots of reading.

Outside my window... another sunny day. *sigh* I want rain.
I am thinking... that I keep too many heavy things on my mind.
I am thankful for... the power of the Cross.
I am wearing... black dress pants and a purple silk blouse.
I am creating... a 1200-word paper on “what is a woman of God?”
I am going... to school at noon and later this evening I’m hanging out with my sister, cousin, and a very special friend!
I am reading… Candles in the Dark by Amy Carmichael.
I am hoping... for many things. I’m waiting on the Lord concerning those hopes. But for today, I am simply hoping to sing well on a Mozart aria during rehearsal today.
I am hearing... “Fumbling Toward Ecstasy” by Sarah McLachlan
One of my favorite things...the way my Beagle looks at me with his beautiful, dark eyes.
A few plans for the rest of the week: The usual – school and music. I'm at college six days a week. It's exhausting.

Monday, Sept 14
Outside my window...my dad and brother are tearing out a brick pathway in our backyard to prepare the ground for gardening.
I am thinking...about a decision that is going to take a great deal of faith and prayer.
I am thankful for...my God who will always be enough.
I am wearing...a black blouse and a gypsy-styled, black and pink skirt.
I am creating...lots of future blog posts (hopefully I'll actually complete them, haha). Still working on the one for discipline and discipleship.
I am going...to Acapella Choir in another hour.
I am reading…The Book of Numbers, Parables of the Christ-Life by Lilias Trotter.
I am hoping...that I can survive some of my classes and that the Lord will guide and provide for a very big decision.
I am hearing...Fox News, fan blowing, my brother and sister talking.
One of my favorite things...is being still and lots of private time (Especially in the midst of a crazy and busy semester).
A few plans for the rest of the week: Practice vocals/guitar, driving lesson with my dad, and prepare for a day of cooking with my sister and cousin on saturday evening(the dishes will be Jewish themed in light of Rosh Hashanah).

I've seen these done on many blogs and now I'm finally participating in the fun! Thanks to the 'simple woman'.

Outside my window...it is another sunny day down here in the ‘valley of the sun.’ There usually isn’t anything exciting to report on a hot afternoon.
I am thinking...about everything that needs to be done this week (school-wise), books that I really want to read, contemplating some serious plans for next summer after I graduate, about how much I desire to be a true prayer warrior, and how faithful the Lord has been despite my disobedience to Him this past year.
I am thankful for...today being Labor Day so that I can have a day off from school.
From the kitchen...I smell nothing scrumptious baking. *tear*
I am wearing...A denim skirt and a long, delicate brown blouse.
I am creating...a blog post on Biblical discipline and an original song (it’s a waltz!) on my guitar.
I am going...nowhere today. Feeling tired and a little sick. :(
I am reading…nothing at the moment (Terrible, I know!) because I’m waiting for some books to come in at the library. However, I’m still reading through the OT and currently on the book of Numbers.
I am hoping...for the Lord to bear me up daily in His grace.
I am hearing...the beautiful vocals of Amy Nuttall singing Scarborough Fair.
Around the house...my brother and sister are playing a strategy board game and my Beagle is sleeping soundly.
One of my favorite things...long rainy days.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Work on Jazz improvisation, practice the selected songs for choir and voice lessons, go out for driving lessons with my dad, work on a more well thought-out weekly schedule (and sticking to it! Going to school forces me to be disciplined!), and movie night with my cousin and sister on Saturday.
